When you know nothing, everything is a possibility.

Being tech-aware to be tech-agnostic is a real skill experience designers need to imbibe.

Remaining tech agnostic allows designers to be open to all partner opportunities and ready for any new technology that emerges.

Before you build a house, how the house looks is a big part of it, but you also have to know what you want to do in the house. This is the same way clients should identify the short term and long term goals of the site, and then identify the appropriate solution to satisfy those goals.

In other words, to build a house, what do you want it to look like, and who's going to live there?

Following a technology agnostic approach means that as a business you are unbiased towards the use of any specific technologies to solve your business problems.

In essence, it supports the notion that there is no one single fit for a particular problem and that there are of course many ways to skin the cat (so to speak).

But why is this important? Because at the end of the day, finding the right fit solution is key.

To do this you first need to understand your business problem or opportunity, the solution requirements and your user needs.

Once you know what is needed and expected, you can overlay your requirements with various technology options to fulfil them.
